Wetherby Services has been named one of the best motorway services in the whole of England, in a survey carried out by the independent transport user watchdog. Transport Focus has ranked the Moto-run services on the A1(M) third out of services in the country, behind only Norton Canes (M6 toll) and Stafford Southbound (M6). SHOW APARTMENT AVAILABLE TO VIEW - CALL TO BOOK Apartment 8 Fairfax House A spacious, modern first floor 2 bedroom apartment complete with en-suite to the master bedroom. Perfectly positioned for Wetherby town centre and access to the A1(M) and offering spacious, open plan living with an excellent specification.

A1(M) is the designation given to a series of four separate motorway sections in England. Each section is an upgrade to a section of the A1, a major north–south road, which connects London, the capital of England, with Edinburgh, the capital of first section, the Doncaster Bypass, opened in and is one of the oldest sections of motorway in Britain. The A1 is the latest in a series of routes north from London to York and beyond. It was designated in by the Ministry of Transport under the Great Britain road numbering scheme. The earliest documented northern routes are the roads created by the Romans during the period from AD 43 to AD , which consisted of several itinera (plural of iter) recorded in the Antonine Itinerary.

The first section of the motorway opened between junction 5 and junction 18 (Crick/Rugby) on 2 November together with the motorway's two spurs, the M10 (from junction 7 to south of St Albans originally connecting to the A1) and the M45 (from junction 17 to the A45 and Coventry). The M1 is a north–south motorway in England connecting London to Leeds, where it joins the A1(M) near Aberford. It was the first inter-urban motorway to be completed in the UK; the first road to be built to motorway standard in the country was the Preston By-pass, which later became part of the M6. The motorway is Template:Convert long and was constructed in four phases. Most of the motorway.
